Sleepers are natural rubber flip-flops, tapped in Sri Lanka. The natural rubber is sourced under fair conditions, certified by the Fair Rubber Association, which ensures good working conditions. The natural rubber is tapped in a way that ensures the natural life cycle of the trees (around 20-30 grams from each tree per day). Natural rubber is breathable, easy to clean, and incredibly comfortable.

Sleepers contain 10-15% synthetic material that acts as a binder. As of today, this is the minimum amount of synthetic material the shoes must contain to maintain good quality. This ensures that the shoes do not break down prematurely.

The flip-flops can be washed with a mild dish soap and a dish brush. We recommend using a natural soap; it is best for both the shoes and nature. Feel free to ask us if you need recommendations. The shoes should not be left in direct sunlight for long periods.
